Compulsory courses
The Department of European Political and Governance Studies offers 7 compulsory courses distributed throughout the academic year, including two that run across both semesters, providing students with a sound background in European politics, law, institutions, and economic integration.
First Semester:

- KAEDING Michael - Governance, Politics and Policy-Making of the EU (25h)
Second Semester:
- BARBOU DES PLACES Ségolène - Droit de l'Union européenne. Marché et société européenne (18h)
- CHANG Michele - Political Economy of European Integration: Trade (10h)
- KAEDING Michael - Future of Europe - Views from the Capitals (8h) *
- In addition, the preparation phase of the Simulation Game takes place: HERMANIN Costanza, RIBO LABASTIDA Alejandro & SETTEMBRI Pierpaolo - Negotiation and Decision-Making in the EU : A Simulation Game (50h)
Courses marked with “*” have no exam or grade, but full attendance is mandatory.
Students must follow one course from the Interdepartmental European Advanced Studies (IDEAs) per semester.
