The participants

The course targets:

• EU and national administration staff, – particularly those shaping or analysing foreign policy (including trade, defence, etc.).
• Diplomats based in Europe, working on EU affairs or involved in multilateral organisations.
• Staff from international organisations.
• Professionals from the corporate sector, in particular international companies affected (or potentially affected) by geopolitical shifts. This includes firms operating in sectors such as energy, technologies, defence, logistics, international trade.
• Analysts and researchers from academia or think tanks working on global governance, international relations, trade, etc.
• Journalists and staff from media outlets covering geopolitics, trade, or international policy.

Participants should have:

• a university degree
• a very good command of English
• prior knowledge of key international relations concepts
• an understanding of the EU institutional set-up, and
• some relevant work experience.

Participants will receive before the start of the course some recommended background readings on international relations, geopolitics and the EU institutional set-up. 

Seats for this course are limited, in order to ensure an optimal interactive environment that fosters discussions and facilitates networking.
