To complement the academic programme, the Department regularly organises lectures and conferences on a broad range of topics relevant to the study of EU external action and diplomacy. Practitioners and academics come to the College in order to present and discuss their views on current European and international affairs with the students.
Besides international conferences, the Department also runs two public, annual high-level lecture series: the EU Diplomacy Lectures which are delivered by personalities from the European Union and the External Perspective on EU Diplomacy Lectures delivered by personalities coming from non-EU countries or international organisations. Additionally, students benefit from a high number of guest lectures.
