AI-Empowered EU Project Management – Tirana

Smart and mindful use of genAI tools for project managers

28 – 30 September 2026 / Tirana, Albania

About the course

This training offers a three-day interactive journey through the key phases of EU-funded projects, enhanced by the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), from policy analysis and project design to budgeting, selected implementation-related processes, monitoring, and reporting, with a particular focus on the smart and mindful use of genAI tools for project managers.

Through detailed case studies and practical exercises on core project design tools, this interactive training course provides a thorough understanding of the essential techniques required to develop coherent, results-oriented, and realistic EU-funded projects, while introducing participants to the use of AI to support these processes in a responsible and informed manner. Particular attention is given to understanding when and how to use genAI effectively, while ensuring that human oversight, critical judgement, and ethical considerations remain central to project decision-making.

Designed to help professionals navigate the complexities of EU-funded actions and strengthen the quality of project formulation and delivery, the course covers the main building blocks of an EU project. More specifically, throughout the course, participants learn how to analyse policy frameworks, structure project logic, define activities and resources, and support implementation and reporting through both established methodologies and AI-assisted approaches.

In addition, the course aims to promote sound project design practices and informed decision-making throughout the project cycle, from identification and formulation to implementation support, monitoring, and evaluation, with particular emphasis on adaptive practice, performance-oriented design, and the thoughtful integration of genAI into project environments.

Experienced high-level practitioners guide participants through a curriculum based on the latest project design approaches, enriched by practical applications of AI tools.

  • The course combines different learning approaches:
  • Interactive training sessions examining the theoretical and practical aspects of EU project design and AI integration;
  • Practical group exercises designed to strengthen essential project design and AI-supported skills, including prompt design and the creation of project-related artefacts;
  • Case studies based on real EU-funded projects;
  • Individual and collective feedback, allowing participants to maximise their personal learning experience.

The course offers a practical and realistic approach to integrating AI into EU project design, while maintaining full control, accountability, and professional standards.
