Fireside Chat on "Career Opportunities in UN and its agencies" with Mariia MATSEPA

The Student Affairs and Professional Development Office of the College of Europe in Natolin organised a fireside chat on "Career Opportunities in the UN and its Agencies" with Ms Mariia MATSEPA, a distinguished alumna of the College of Europe in Natolin and currently working as a Multi-Country Evaluation Specialist (outposted in Djibouti) in the UNICEF Middle East and North Africa Regional Office.

About the Guest Speaker

Ms Mariia MATSEPA has over 20 years of experience in the humanitarian and development sectors, primarily with UNICEF, UNDP, and WHO. Specializing in planning, monitoring, and evaluation, she has led teams in numerous countries, advancing country program development and establishing partnerships with governments, NGOs, and the private sector. Since 2020, Ms. MATSEPA has served as a Multi-Country Evaluation Specialist for UNICEF MENARO, based in Djibouti. In this role, she has provided strategic guidance to the Regional Office’s Evaluation Section and supported Country Programme Planning for Iraq, Tunisia, and Djibouti. She has led diverse evaluation teams, successfully completing 14 evaluations across the MENA region. Her initiatives have fostered partnerships with institutions like École Nationale d'Administration Publique (Quebec) and government offices, enhancing evaluation literacy for 120 UNICEF stakeholders. For her work on child survival and development, she received an award from the UNICEF Djibouti Country Office.

Ms MATSEPA will draw from her 20 years of professional experience to share insights with students, offering a window into her career journey and experiences in dynamic working environments at organizations like UNDP, UNICEF, and WHO.
