On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Spain’s EU accession, the College of Europe in Natolin together with the Embassy of Spain in Poland, have the pleasure to organise a high-level conference “Spain and Poland: Two Success Stories in Europe”.
The event brought together policymakers, academics and European experts to reflect on Spain and Poland’s European journeys, their achievements within the EU, and their contributions to the future of the European project.
The conference opened with remarks by Mrs Ewa OŚNIECKA-TAMECKA, Vice-Rector of the College of Europe; Mr Fernando SAMPEDRO, State Secretary for EU Affairs of Spain and Mr Ignacy NIEMCZYCKI, State Secretary for EU Affairs of Poland.
A special thank you to Mr Enrique BARÓN CRESPO, former President of the European Parliament, for his closing remarks. and to the panelists Prof. Belén BECERRIL ATIENZA, Dr Pol MORILLAS, Prof. Maciej SZPUNAR and Dr Paweł SAMECKI for their contributions and engaging discussion.
