The Madariaga-College of Europe Foundation (MCF) is dedicated to bringing a fresh perspective to the debate on the major challenges facing the EU in this era of global change.

Its activities are focused in two core areas, each reflecting a major challenge for the Union:

Within the framework of these broad programmes, the MCF runs events and projects aimed squarely at fostering a lively debate on the ways forward for the Union. The MCF’s unique network of contacts within the European institutions and beyond ensures that all its activities involve the key stakeholders in each of these vital areas:

  • EU-China Relations
  • Economic and Financial Governance and the Crisis
  • European Foreign Policy and Defence
  • Natural Resources, Energy and the Environment
