Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Fondation The Foundation was established in 1962 in Stockholm through the endowment from the Bank of Sweden. The Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation supports scientific research by awarding project grants to individuals, researchers and research groups. In 2004 a partnership agreement was signed between the Bank of Sweden tercentenary Foundation and MEF to develop the Anna Lindh Programme on Conflict Prevention. www.rj.se
Barents Institute The Barents Institute was created in 2006 in Kirkenes, Norway, by the MEF and the Barents Secretariat. The aim of the Institute is to carry out research to study resource management and regional development issues in the circumpolar north and the Barents Region. In 2006, the Barents Institute partnered MEF in organising a workshop on "Energy and Dispute Management in the Barents Region."

College of Europe The College of Europe, founded in 1949, is a centre of academic excellence preparing individuals to work and live in an international environment with its campuses in Bruges (Belgium) and Natolin (Poland). The College is at the cutting edge of reflection on European intergration and is unique in its in-depth understanding of Europe in all its complexity. College of Europe Alumni Association MEF was created by the Association and the two organisations are currently share premises in Brussels. The Alumni Association is today composed of more than 9000 members and their network provides key support for the implementation of the MEF programme of activities.

Compagnia di San Paolo Founded in 1563 as a charitable brotherhood, the Compagnia di San Paolo (Turin, Italy) is now one of the largest foundations in Europe. It is active in the sectors of scientific, economic and juridical research; education; art and the preservation and valorisation of cultural heritage; health; and assistance to the socially deprived categories of society. In 2006, the Compagnia collaborated with MEF on preparing a project on Conflict Prevention through Cultural Interaction in the Mediterranean Region.

Crisis Management Initiative Founded in 2000 by its Chairman President Martti Ahtisaari, Crisis Management Initiative (CMI) is an independent, non-profit organisation that innovatively promotes and works for sustainable security. MCF and CMI, in cooperation with the Centro Internacional de Toledo Para la Paz, run a joint conference series focused on the European approach to defence and security in the 21st Century. www.cmi.fi
EastWest Institute The EWI (Brussels/New York) is an independant, not-for-profit, internation institution that operates long-term projects that seek to create trust and understanding and to reduce tensions from Eurasia to the trans-Atlantic. Europe's World Europe's World is an international policy journal published by Friends of Europe in partnership with some 50 leading European think-tanks, including MEF. It is a pan-European publication offering policymakers and opinion-formers accross Europe a platform for representing ideas and forgind concensus on key issues. It also reflects the diversity of national policy debates in EU states, with particular attention being paid to newcomer and candidate countries.

Evens Foundation The Evens Foundation (Antwerp, Belgium) works to promote European construction and bridge-building between people, commercial enterprises, non-profit making associations and institutions. Norwegian Barents Secretariat The Norwegian Barents Secretariat (Kirkenes, Norway) works on the development of cross-border cooperation between East and West in the Barents Region. MEF and the Barents Secretariat signed a cooperation agreement which led to the creation of the Barents Institute in February 2006.

Oriente Foundation The aims of the Oriente Foundation (Lisbon) are to carry out and support the cultural, educational, artistic, philanthropic and social actions, predominantly in Portugal and Macao, China. As such, the Foundation is dedicated to encouraging the maintenance and strengthening of the historical and cultural ties between Portugal and the countries of the Far East. The Foundation has a representative on the MEF board and was a sponsor ot the Hendrik Brugmans Memorial Lectures.
